What's In A Headboard?

Upholstered headboards are really popular right now. I like how they have countless possibilities to make your bed uniquely yours and you can find them in any shape, design and size. Here are a few that I really like.This one is from KS interiors. I love the shiny cream color and the tufts. I also love the shape.
This one is from Ethan Allen and I love the sophisticated formal feel of this headboard. I particularly like the nail head detail around the outside. I don't really love this one but I think the scrolls on top could be cute.
I really love the shape of this headboard. I'm not sure what it is called when it wraps around the side like that but it feels cozy and intimate and very ritzy.Fun shape and good color.
This just feels like a revival of a classic; very feminine but simple. I could see Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe sleeping in this bed. This is a pretty simple upholstered bed.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow...right?

Last week I was out walking my dogs and I saw a huge rainbow (obviously not this one cause it's in Peru) and I don't know about you but rainbows always make me stop and appreciate nature. Or maybe it makes me think about the pot of gold that is supposedly at the end of it, and then I start thinking about what I would do with all that gold! But really I think a rainbow is such a cool natural occurrence and when you see one you can't help but be happy!

Does anyone sing "somewhere over the rainbow" when they see one? I don't think I usually do but today it seems fitting (partly because we are having a big rain storm right now). So I'm posting part of the lyrics to it just in case you haven't heard that song in awhile (and who doesn't love The Wizard of OZ).

His Name Is Moses

I have NEVER been a big fan of cats and then one summer at the County Fair my sister found the littlest white and orange kitten and we fell in love with it. That was the begining..... And so we tolerate/love Moses. Just kidding I really do like the cat, he can be pretty entertaining at times. Don't worry I just wanted to get a drink out of the faucet cause apparently my water bowl isn't good enough anymore!
My condo is my favorite place to sleep.... wait anywhere is my favorite place to sleep; but if you touch MY condo you will get a good swat!See I told you I like to sleep... anywhere.

I can't figure out why this ladder is here or what it's for so I guess I'll just hang out on it everyday until someone puts it away.We really are having fun! Wrestling is one of our favorite pasttimes.

See... can you feel the love?

What's Important

My super cute, super talented and super amazing little sister had her first dance recital this past weekend. She did an amazing job. I'm just so proud of how she confidently walked out on stage and danced her little heart out!I never miss any of her events and it was super great to have my roommates come and support her. Thanks MEL and JEN!

My roommate also complained last night that she would only comment on my blog if it was about her. I love how she takes MY blog and HAS to make it about HER!

What's a girl to do?

Well I write a post about my SISTER and throw in a picture with my roommate in it! HA!

(But I do have to say that this post makes me feel like a mommy blogger, ugh, I'm just putting that out there, lol)

Space For Your Guests

I love the silver and purples in this room. I think it is graceful and peaceful without being overly feminine.Again I wish you could see more of the detail at the desk. The lamp adds just the right amount of classical style with a great print on the shade. I also found the white leather alligator chair and seriously wanted it for my own house... if they had had two chairs they would have been mine!

Or emotional, hormonal, heartbroken or onery!

Sun For a Sunroom

The builder wanted us to make this sunroom a place to relax and do hobbies. Thus you see a sitting area and a place to paint or do projects. Now if the sun would just shine!

It was a really rainy day but I love the view the mountains (a great view for an artists inspiration)! I can just see a bunch of ladies gathering here and working on their knitting projects and having a good visit.
I'm not a huge fan of this table but the builder had it and wanted us to use it somewhere; however I am a huge fan of the lavender in that fun basket and the bright pink flower.
