What I Want To Be When I Grow Up

When I was in elementary school my parents told me it didn't matter what I did when I grew up, so long as it made me happy. "Happiness is the whole point of life," my father said.
A few years later when I was in junior high, my grumpy 6th grade homeroom teacher went around the room and asked each student what they wanted to be when they grew up. When she got to me, I told her I wanted to be happy. She told me I was missing the whole point of the question. I told her she was missing the whole point of life.
What do we all want to be when we grow up? Happy.... that is all. Find what makes you happy and do it until you die. -Author Unknown

My Walking Journeys

I have started to record some of the beautiful things I see around me. I walk and hike a lot, that tends to happen when you have furry little friends that are full of energy when you get home from work. I live in an amazing valley, surrounded by mountains. In fact when I travel I get homesick for these mountains I call home. This fall on one of my favorite trails.
At the park by my house, I was really excited my phone's camera captured this rainbow. I wish this picture did this view more justice. It was an overcast Sunday afternoon and the sun was just lighting up the Western mountains.
And my ever loyal, excited and ambitious puppies. They make my walks even better.

Nicely Done

I think this is a great photo gallery. It has a good variety of sizes, great placement of frames, a good unity of frame color and photos. Nice.

Pot Racks - Part 2

Here are some great ideas for pot racks. I love the more simpler applications, some of these are really creative and cool. I love this idea! It's simple, clean and easily accessible.
This one is super fun too, organized and modest.
Simple, clean and stainless steel.
This one is clean, not too cluttered and high enough it won't be in the way.
This one is okay, I like how it's next to the range and I think its great when you have limited space.

Pot Racks - Part 1

I'm not sure if I am a fan of pot racks or not. I know I definitely do not like the clutter! So I'm going to show you pot racks I don't like and tomorrow I will show you ones I like. I love light and this blocks the view and it looks so messy.
Nope, not a fan of all that is going on here.
I like most of my kitchen stuff hidden, especially the pots that are getting a little old.
Umm, over the door, no way!
And on the back of the door, yuck.
So there you go here is what I suggest not to do. Stay tune for good looking pot rack ideas.

Make a Statment

The door to our homes can say a lot about us. Whether you want to make a strong, loud emphasis or quiet, sophisticated statement make sure you give your door the proper attention it needs. I love each of the following examples for very different reasons. Bold and a colorful punch Simple and stately, beautiful flowering trees
Traditional and powerful Bold and strong
Bright and different
Be different, dare to try something new, a fresh new coat of paint on your door might just be the perfect solution to give your house some pizazz and flair!

Airy Delight

I love the pale wedgewood blue color on the planked walls and the cream bedding; very simple, very clean.
