Priorities

I must admit I'm loving spring and life is great!
I can't wait to:
  1. Plant my garden, with just peas, cause I love peas and my garden is small
  2. Fill my flowerbed with bright, happy flowers!!!
  3. Find some fun hikes to do
  4. Travel ;)
  5. Watermelon and all fruits
  6. Family get togethers
  7. Sit out on my porch swing in the evenings
  8. Keep this awesome tan I got in Mexico (this might be more difficult then I hope it will be)
  9. SWIMMING!!!
  10. Sunglasses and fun skirts

What are some things you are looking forward to?

Smiles and Sunshine

"What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles, to be sure; but scattered along life’s pathway, the good they do is inconceivable."
-Joseph Addison

I'm Back... Pictures to Follow!

I had the greatest time on my cruise!
Here are a few of the girls I went with. From the left- Jennie (my roommate), Me, Lyndie and Nikki. We are just getting ready to board the ship! So excited. There will be more photos to come but I'm really trying to catch up with life and work! But I will say I had one of the best times ever!

Las Ramblas

Right after college graduation I went to Europe for a few weeks. The agenda was to go to Spain, France and Italy. I didn't think much about Spain except that I wished we had more time in France. Haha, little did I know that my 2 days in Spain would leave me wishing for more time there! We went to Barcelona and the weather was fabulous and the culture was dynamic and exciting. The city and the people have such this liveliness and passion for life. From their food and music to their architecture and art. One of my favorite places was the Las Ramblas. It is this street or mall so to speak that is lined with vendors, artists, restaurants and lots and lots of people. There is always music and performers and yummy smells. My favorite part was the feeling that everyone was there to have a good time and enjoy life. The whole time in Barcelona I felt like it was a very chill and casual atmosphere and people were alive and enjoying life, I loved that.

Fun performing artists and yummy food can always get me excited.

It Can Be Done

I want to be this organized so that I can have single shelf like this and my kitchen will still look clean and cool. With matching plates and bowls and cool colorful accessories. And bright cabinets with stainless steel drawer pulls and maybe the stainless steel countertops or butcher block.

Modern House

I love the simplicity and huge glass windows of modern homes. I think the location would be fabulous and serene too!
What a great focal point.
Add a little more furniture and accessories and this room has a great view, I would add shades for sleeping though.
I love all the windows!

Vacation, Vacation, Vacation

Yes! It's that time of year for Spring Break! and I'm going on a cruise to Cabo San Lucas! My roommate and I have been looking forward to this since we booked it back in January.
I plan on:
  • Para sailing
  • Kayaking
  • Snorkeling
  • Lots of sun
  • The BEACH!!!
  • Food- fruit, veggies and seafood!!!
  • Dancing
  • And little to no sleep

I'm doubting that I will have very many if any posts while I'm gone. It will depend on if I get everything for work and my life in order before I take off but I will try to have a few simple posts done before I leave.

My Bugg

You might be thinking, what kind of bug does she have, is she sick, what...? Nope I'm not sick in fact I'm feeling very good and healthy AND skinnier. It's a little thing called the Body Bugg. If you watch The Biggest Loser (which I don't really) they wear them on there too. It's this little sensor that I wear on my arm that monitors and keeps track of the calories I burn, how many steps I take and how many minutes of activity I do in a day.

Then this watch tells me what the sensor is saying about my body. Throughout the day I will sync the Bugg to on online program and then enter in all the food I have eaten for that day. The program is set up so that I tell it how many pounds I want to lose a week and it tells me how many calories I can eat and how many I will need to burn to reach my weight loss goals. I've been using the Body Bugg for 4 weeks now and I really like it. By itself the Bugg doesn't lose the weight for you, you have to do it but what I really like is that it's my motivation to get up and work out and eat better. I have goals that I need to make every day and so far I have reached those goals. And sense I'm such a huge numbers freak I love seeing at any moment how many calories and steps I have taken that day. It's a little inconvenient to keep my food log but I have heard from a number of weight loss programs (weight watchers specifically) that in order to be successful on any diet logging food and being responsible for what you eat is the key to losing weight. Anyway that's my long rant on this cool little bugg that is currently running my life. If any of you have been contemplating getting it I would highly encourage it. I've lost 12 pounds so far and I am loving that I have more energy, I sleep better and I'm fitting into my skinnier clothes! It's great.

Breakfast Food for Thought

My new favorite breakfast are these Turkey Sausage Muffins. They are a little pricey but with only 260 calories and 18g of Protein they fill me up and they are so tastey! I found this great blog by Thrifty Shannon, which has lots of awesome coupon ideas. So I asked Shannon if she could find a coupon for these and she found them fast, I'm so excited to go stock up on these babies.
Thanks Shannon!

A Space For Work and Play

What a fun work/family space. I like the book shelves and all the natural light.
