What do you think about this shiny aqua blue floor? 
I think it works, I'm not saying I would do it in my house, but I think the white furniture lends the design to have a dramatic punch of color and why not make that punch on the floor! It definitely isn't something that is overly used and design exhausted. If you can pull this off I say go for it.
