Attention to the Floor
I think this looks like a fun room. I love the pattern on the rug, we should really pay more attention to our floors. Rugs and designs on the floor can be a fun way to liven up a space and give it lots of personality. If you imagine this room without the rug it's very bland, the rug truly gives it personality and punch. With the rug the sectional, the glass coffee table and the maize colored arm chairs are all very welcoming and comfortable.

Simply Nice
I love the simplicity. Has anyone noticed the theme of simplicity lately? I must be needing to simplify and minimize lately; my life and my house!!!

The Reason
In all the celebrating and good wishing let's remember the reason for the season. This is how I picture the first Christmas. Simple, quiet, full of love and thanks and glory for the new born King.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas Day from Ooh La La.

More Simple Holiday Decor
I love this!
I think this would be so cute on your little kids wall in their room. Let them make it themselves.

A Litte Holiday Decor
I'm a fan of simple holiday decor. I think this table design is simple and elegant.
I'm also a fan of this wreath. So much so that I went to the store and bought yarn and a straw wreath and made one! For those of you who know me you know that I'm not a huge fan of crafts. This is mostly because they don't turn out as amazing as they were in my head. But this wreath turned out awesome. I'll try and post it later. Candy cane sticks and roses. Can it look any better? I think not. And I just had to laugh at this marshmallow wreath. I was tempted to make it but the other wreath won, but only because it would last longer. Happy Holidays!

Need This
I'm planning a getaway weekend. Getaway you say?! Ya, it's my getaway from playing, entertaining, shopping, working, dating and everything else that has kept me running lately. I've been playing and working long and hard and I need some Heidi time. So I plan on renting a few movies, I have more then a few books I have been wanting to read and basically I plan on not getting out of my pajamas all weekend, except for church, maybe. I'm pretty much super excited about this plan. I hope you all have a great weekend too!
Yummy Zesty Tomato Soup with Tortellini
My grandma made this amazing Tomato Soup with Tortellini in it a few months ago and it was delicious. So I got the recipe from her and now I'm addicted. Here is the recipe if anyone is interested, its especially great for these freezing cold nights.
1 can of tomato soup (I love Campbell's)
2 14 oz. cans of chicken broth ( used 28 oz. of water and chicken bullion)
1/2 a package of cream cheese
1 package of Tortellini (I like the red, green and white ones)
Combine all ingredient, make sure cream cheese is melted and tortellini is thawed or cooked through. Enjoy!!!

Tiffany Blue
Have you ever known of one single hue that is so recognizable as Tiffany Blue, does anyone even have any doubts as to what type of presents this will be? I mean it has to be something with DIAMONDS because IT IS in a TIFFANY BOX! I love the how this color is transferring into our interiors. I am a person who generally gravitates to various shades of blue so this color definitely catches my attention.
Here are color schemes that have derived from Tiffany Blue.
In this kitchen it is subtle shade that is soothing yet bright. I love the contrast with the white cabinets and gray countertops.
Blues are known to make a space feel spacious and calming.
Combining it with pinks gives it a youthful and playful feel.I love this tufted chaise. And the stripe on the wall is a fun twist.
This laundry room feel light and breezy and clean.
While this is a few shades darker then the original Tiffany Blue I love it.
This laundry room is brighter too but still fun and carefree.

I'm Not Okay With This
One thing I can't get over is this recent craze for chalkboard walls. Did everyone forget what a mess they were in elementary school? And how if you even touched them you were finding chalk marks all over yourself for the rest of the day! So why does everyone think this is such a great idea to paint a chalkboard wall in their house? Sure I get the idea that in a kitchen it looks kind of restaurantish; but people it only looks cool for the first time you do it! What happens when you erase it and it leaves the chalk smears and dust? Yuck!
All I think when I see this is big yucky MESS!
All I think when I see this is big yucky MESS!
I get the idea that you want to give your child an area to develop their creativity but doesn't a easel with a huge art pad do the same thing, with a whole lot less mess? That would be my option.
And again, why would you want this on your dresser, so that your clothes come out already messy?
Maybe there these people just love giving themselves extra work cause they love cleaning, but I am definitely not that kind of person.
