Tiffany Blue
Have you ever known of one single hue that is so recognizable as Tiffany Blue, does anyone even have any doubts as to what type of presents this will be? I mean it has to be something with DIAMONDS because IT IS in a TIFFANY BOX! I love the how this color is transferring into our interiors. I am a person who generally gravitates to various shades of blue so this color definitely catches my attention.
Here are color schemes that have derived from Tiffany Blue.
In this kitchen it is subtle shade that is soothing yet bright. I love the contrast with the white cabinets and gray countertops.
Blues are known to make a space feel spacious and calming.
Combining it with pinks gives it a youthful and playful feel.I love this tufted chaise. And the stripe on the wall is a fun twist.
This laundry room feel light and breezy and clean.
While this is a few shades darker then the original Tiffany Blue I love it.
This laundry room is brighter too but still fun and carefree.

I'm Not Okay With This
One thing I can't get over is this recent craze for chalkboard walls. Did everyone forget what a mess they were in elementary school? And how if you even touched them you were finding chalk marks all over yourself for the rest of the day! So why does everyone think this is such a great idea to paint a chalkboard wall in their house? Sure I get the idea that in a kitchen it looks kind of restaurantish; but people it only looks cool for the first time you do it! What happens when you erase it and it leaves the chalk smears and dust? Yuck!
All I think when I see this is big yucky MESS!
All I think when I see this is big yucky MESS!
I get the idea that you want to give your child an area to develop their creativity but doesn't a easel with a huge art pad do the same thing, with a whole lot less mess? That would be my option.
And again, why would you want this on your dresser, so that your clothes come out already messy?
Maybe there these people just love giving themselves extra work cause they love cleaning, but I am definitely not that kind of person.

Yellow and Black and Oh Very Nice
I love a black and white color scheme with yellow! It's sassy and sharp.
What a way to start your day.
I love how bright and cheery yellow makes a space.
This is very dramatic and bold. I love the yellow lamps.

Places I Would Love to Visit
I love to travel, I love seeing architecture and I really love seeing other cultures and how people live. Here are a few places I think are amazing and that I wish I could just jump on a plane and be there tomorrow.
Eguisheim, Alsace, France
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Santorini, Greece- one place I really want to visit!
Brugge, Belgium
No idea where this is but looks secluded and beautiful. Some island where its nice and warm all year round. I could spend a month here, maybe even 2!This looks like its pretty close to my Home, and it's beautiful. I want to see and visit and experience all these places but when it comes down to it there really is no place like home.

Where is YOUR Phone?
What do you do when you can't find your cell phone and you don't have a land line?
Go to this website!!!
This has got to be one of the coolest ideas EVER. And it's free, unless you want to donate and buy the kid a beer. (thanks Cheers & Rock'n'Roll for posting about this)

I just like the feel of these rooms.
Cozy and green
Causal, relaxing retreat.
Black trim is sharp
I like these sofas. And the sharp gray and white contrast.
Cozy and intimate and family times.

New Art Love
A few select people know that I love to paint. Now for those of you who don't know this it's because I don't tell very many people, the main reason being I'm not good at painting, at all. I promise. I want to be, trust me, I long to be as good as these artists that I admire. So since I'm not I just pretent and attempt to be.
This originally started when I had left over acrylic paints from a project in college. I didn't want to throw out these paints because they were $5 a tube and in college that was huge! So instead of throwing them out I bought some canvas and brushes and thus began my love with "tyring" to paint. Maybe one day I will post some of my creations. I actually finished one a few weeks ago that I am extremely impressed with (I guess practice is making me better).
The best part and the main reason I have kept with this little passion is that I have found painting to be very therapeutic for me. It doesn't matter what kind of day I had or what is going on in my life when I sit down to paint I create, I relax and I connect with myself. As cheesy as that sounds I have discovered a hobby that I love and that I hope to continue doing (and maybe I'll become famous because I got that good, I can dream right?).
I recently discovered these painting are by artist, Timothy Sorsdahl.
I love his use of color and simplicity, I am planning on using some of his work as inspiration for my next masterpiece!
Through my experience with painting I have also gained a renewed appreciation for how truly talented these artist are!!! People, art is not as easy to create as it may look.
I love mixing colors and seeing how they translate to my blank canvas. Some are bright and vibrant and some are matte and dull.

Nice and Inviting
This house captured my attention as I was searching through houses this week. The yellow reminds me of my parents house and I was intrigued with the 3 story window wall section. I also thought the house had great curb appeal and enough architectural details without being overdone.

For My Mom
Has anyone else had the craziest week ever this week? Well I have! Ahhhh, so my posts have been short and quick without much time. I've also been rearranging my files onto an external hard drive (which I'm very excited about, ya know tech gadgets). This week I have been focusing on architecture. I am so obsessed with buildings I love their history, the way they work with their landscape and just the beauty of someone else's creativity (and I get a little jealous cause I wish I was more creative) So I have a few pictures from Coastal Living I snagged these because my mom loves lighthouses and would leave tomorrow if she got the chance to live in one! Now this isn't a real lighthouse but I think my mom would love it. I don't think my mom is a daily reader of my blog but I'll for sure give her a call and tell her I dedicated a whole post for her today, so she better read it. haha. And maybe its my way of saying thanks mom for waking up at 2am when I called last night and just needed someone to talk to, you are the best mom!!!!
